The city of Booneville is located in Prentiss County, Mississippi and is identified as the county seat. With a population approaching 10,000 residents, the city offering includes amenities exceeding most small towns in the area. Northeast Mississippi Community College has annual enrollment in excess of 6,000 students and provides advanced education services for five surrounding counties including Prentiss, Tippah, Alcorn, Union, and Tishomingo.
Known as the “City of Hospitality,” Booneville, Mississippi is a charming southern town in northeastern Mississippi with much to offer both visitors and residents.
Although we take pride in Booneville’s small-town, community atmosphere, the Board of Aldermen and I also value efficiency, effectiveness and openness in government.
To demonstrate these values, we’re committed to providing online access to the records and affairs of our municipal government. On this site, you’ll find a number of online resources: a municipal calendar (with minutes from our board meetings), a city employee directory, and our current list of public announcements and notices.
Please contact me at City Hall via our contact page if I can provide additional information or assistance.
